On the morning of May 15, 2021, the “Jinghai No. 001″ deep-sea intelligent cage designed and constructed by CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. was delivered in Longkou City, Shandong Province. This is the first batch of Asia’s largest mass-produced deep-sea smart cages delivered for use, filling the gap in my country’s 30-meter-deep aquaculture waters with seated cages and opening a new era of intelligence for the marine industry. The main materials of the cage include ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, which is one of the current high-performance fiber products and has been widely used in deep-sea aquaculture and other fields.

It is understood that the “Hundred Boxes Plan” of the marine ranch is an important carrier for Yantai to cultivate the sea, animal husbandry and fishery and implement the strategic marine strategy. A landing project, as the implementation unit of Yantai’s “Hundred Box Plan”, the intelligent cage platform “Jinghai No. 001″ launched by Yantai Jinghai Ocean Fishery Co., Ltd. is a steel structure seated cage platform with a length, width and height of 68m. *68m*40m, the effective breeding volume is about 70,000 cubic meters. The platform adopts wind and solar energy storage as the daily power supply method, and realizes the automation and intelligence of cage platform culture through automatic feeding, underwater monitoring, underwater net washing and other equipment.

“Jinghai No. 1″ is a second-generation deep-water bottom-mounted cage that was optimized and upgraded on the basis of the first generation. The cage is composed of uprights, upper rings, lower rings, submerged pads & anti-submersion plates, inclined supports, etc., and the interior is still a whole network space. The cage uses solar energy and wind energy as the main power source. When the sunshine is sufficient and the wind is stable, the solar and wind energy basically meets the electricity demand for daily lighting, underwater monitoring, and indoor air conditioning in the crew room and monitoring room. When high-power continuous operations such as deck crane operations and bait-casting equipment are required, generators are used to supply power.

After “Jinghai No. 001″ was launched, it will focus on fish culture in deep-sea cages, supplemented by planting of algae on the sea surface and bottom-seeding of seashells, etc., to form an ecological and three-dimensional aquaculture model. Through large-scale production, it will drive the development of the entire marine fishery industry chain such as engineering technology, biotechnology, aquaculture, processing, and cold chain transportation, and realize the operation of the entire industry chain from deep sea to dining table.

It is understood that as the first batch of the largest mass-produced deep-sea intelligent cages in Asia, the “Jinghai No. 001″ cage was launched and delivered for use, filling the gap in my country’s aquaculture waters at a depth of about 30 meters. In the future, Jinghai Fishery will use the Yantai model as a demonstration, and deploy 100 sets of deep-sea aquaculture facilities to form a “headquartered in Yantai, radiating the whole country”, with marine protein as the core product, to drive the entire industrial chain, supply chain, and element chain to gather and build equipment.
